About the Job
**This is an on-site 1099 Contract role payable at $27 per hour**
We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused IT Deskside Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, setting up, configuring, and upgrading various end-user devices. You will also assist with office moves, setups, and minimal data migrations as required.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform a range of technical work activities at customer sites to meet business and customer requirements.
- Document and report on work completed to ensure compliance with company and customer procedures.
- Escalate issues in line with company processes to ensure customer demands are met and handle escalations appropriately.
- Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers, ensuring a consistent and positive experience.
- Adapt quickly to dynamic team environments to maintain a consistent and effective contribution.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Able to follow instructions and procedures accurately.
- Has proven experience in an IT Desktop Service environment.
- Uses information systems, technology functions, and applications in line with IT industry standards.
- Demonstrates an organized approach to work and strong customer service abilities.
- Possesses routine administrative skills.
- Has good interpersonal, basic literacy, and numeracy skills.
- Shows awareness of health and safety at work.
Site Activity:
- IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) work, including building, deploying, and asset management.
- Image management and distribution using tools like Microsoft SCCM.
- Ability to resolve 5 to 8 tickets daily on average, adhering to a 5-business-day Service Level Agreement (SLA).
- Break-fix
About the Role and Skillset:
- Standard 8-hour workday with a 60-minute lunch break (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM).
- Microsoft certification and CompTIA A+ certification are assets.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in end-user device support and a strong understanding of IT environments.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
