**This is an on-site 1099 Contract role payable at $28 per hour**
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled IT Deskside Support Engineer to join our team. This role involves a variety of responsibilities, including hardware break/fix, Android scanner support, PC deployment, and ticketing system management. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support for hardware break/fix tasks and Android scanner troubleshooting.
- Perform PC deployment, including the setup, configuration, and testing of new systems.
- Manage and resolve tickets using ticketing systems to track incidents and service requests.
- Work closely with the support team to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation of technical issues and resolutions.
Technical Environment & Minimum Skills/Experience:
- Strong experience in hardware support and repair.
- Proficient in Android scanner support and PC deployment processes.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems for managing support incidents and requests.
- Basic networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical support role.
Professional Accreditations (Required):
- CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent experience in hardware support.
Nice to Have Skills/Experience:
- Experience with various operating systems, including Windows and Android.
- Knowledge of additional ticketing systems, such as ServiceNow or Jira.
- Experience with remote troubleshooting tools.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
Sector Experience:
- Experience in the logistics, retail, or manufacturing sectors is a plus.
Work Environment:
- The candidate will be working in a team environment, collaborating with other support technicians and IT staff.
- This is an onsite position, requiring physical presence at the workplace.
- Local candidates are preferred, as relocation or remote work is not available.
Travel Requirements:
- No regular travel is expected for this role. Travel arrangements, if needed, will be discussed in advance with the service provider.
Shift Details:
- This position is for the B Shift, working Thursday through Sunday, 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM.
