**This is an on-site 1099 Contract role payable at $26 per hour**
We are seeking a skilled IT Deskside Support Technician to join our team and provide hands-on technical support in an IT and manufacturing environment. The role involves deployment, configuration, repair, and setup of end-user devices, as well as desk-side support and IT asset management. This is a customer-facing role that requires strong customer service and technical skills. You will be responsible for imaging computers, documenting work, and providing efficient and friendly support to employees across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, configure, upgrade, and set up end-user devices.
- Provide desk-side support for hardware and software issues during the first part of the shift. (AM)
- Deploy and configure IT assets, including imaging computers and managing upgrades during the second part of the shift (PM).
- Assist with office moves and setup, ensuring minimal disruption to end-users.
- Troubleshoot IT issues and provide effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Document work thoroughly, including all changes and upgrades made to devices.
- Provide excellent customer service in a professional manner.
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Technical Environment:
- IT and manufacturing setting.
- Experience imaging computers and documenting work is required.
- Must have a customer-facing demeanor, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Skills and Experience:
Required:
- Experience in an IT environment.
- Hands-on experience with imaging, configuring, and deploying end-user devices.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and technical problem-solving abilities.
- Good customer service skills and ability to interact with non-technical users.
Nice to Have:
- Previous experience in manufacturing or a similar technical setting.
- Additional experience in customer service or IT support roles.
Work Conditions:
- Must work onsite; remote work is not available for this role.
- This is a team-based role, so collaboration and communication with colleagues is essential.
