Responsibilities:As an IT Field Technician- Install, your main responsibility will be travelling throughout the USA installing our 911 products at 911 call centers.
Essential Duties:
- Responsible for participating in the installation of 911 call handling and dispatch systems
- Travel to customer sites for installation and troubleshooting of software and hardware across the USA
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with product compatibility and integrations within scope of responsibility
- Provide remote support to the customers as needed
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in MIS or Computer Science preferred
Experience:
Applicant for this job will be expected to meet the following minimum qualifications.
- Minimum 2-4 years of technical customer service experience required
- Minimum one year installation or software training experience preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience with networking, Windows based servers and workstations required
- Experience and knowledge with Linux strongly preferred
- Knowledge of cabling (e.g. running, terminating and testing Cat5e, 568a, 568b, RJ45, RS232, etc.)
- Basic telephony knowledge (e.. MDF, tip and ring punchdown, color codes, POTS, etc.) or installation/troubleshooting of systems like Avaya, Cisco or Mitel.
- Understanding of PBX systems a plus!
Travel:
- 75% of the time you will be travelling across various states in the USA to install our system. All travel will be reimbursed (flights, hotel, rental car and meals).

The starting salary is anticipatedbetween$25 and $32 to start and will be commensurate with experience.
