Position Summary:
Command Cyber Solutions (a federal government contractor) is seeking a qualified IT FP&A Analyst SME in support of client located at Hill AFB, Utah.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Maximize the effectiveness of cost and operations within the IT department.
• Collect and maintain records of historical data.
• Assist the Contract Program Manager with financial and budget management decision making.
• Monitor progress of program requirements and cost performance against plans to ensure contractual cost obligations are met.
• Conduct financial analyses, including but not limited to:
o Variance analyses.
o Risk analyses.
o Profit/loss analyses.
• Develop high impact analyses that facilitate the transformation of complex data/information into actionable insights and recommendations.
• Prepare customized management-level reports and dashboards.
• Summarize complex information and concepts and clearly communicate with the Contract Program Manager.
• Perform comprehensive financial analysis of IT projects, including cost estimation, ROI assessment, and financial impact evaluation.
• Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate the financial feasibility and profitability of IT initiatives.
• Collaborate with IT managers and stakeholders to develop project budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives.
• Monitor and analyze actual project costs and performance against budgeted amounts, identifying and reporting on variances.
• Prepare financial reports and presentations, providing key insights and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses to support investment decisions and prioritize IT projects based on financial viability.
• Assist in developing IT budget plans and forecasts, ensuring accurate allocation and utilization of resources.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements within the IT department, making recommendations for process enhancements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data, ensuring accuracy and consistency in financial reporting.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to IT financial management.
Education, Certification & Experience Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or IT related field or equivalent professional experience
• Ten (10) or more years of experience.
• Active Secret Clearance.
Recommended Certifications:
• FinOps Certified Practitioner
• FinOps Certified Engineer
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
• Ability to understand and identify opportunities to apply different types of statistics and advanced analytical concepts.
• Strong financial analysis skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
• Advanced knowledge of financial principles, budgeting, and cost control.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial information to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as Excel, ERP systems, and financial management applications.
• Familiarity with IT project management methodologies and ITIL practices is advantageous.
Working Conditions/Working Environment/Physical Demands
• Basic office work environment at government facility location
• Hours of operation are M-F between 0600-1800.
• Occasionally, project requirements may require temporary adjustment of work hours/days
• Duties are subject to change based on the needs of the customer
