Job Description
The Healthcare IT Project Manager will lead and coordinate project activities, develop and maintain project schedules and work breakdown structures, track and monitor project progress, communicate project status, risks, and issues, and manage project scope, budget, schedule, resources, risks, and issues. This role requires a proactive, action-oriented individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills to bring team members together and drive progress forward.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and coordinate project activities.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and work breakdown structures.
• Track and monitor project progress.
• Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
• Track and forecast project financials.
• Manage project scope, budget, schedule, resources, risks, and issues.
• Produce status reports and ensure project documentation is up to date.
• Escalate issues and risks as necessary to keep the project on track.
Skills and Experience:
• Experience: 10 years preferred, 5-7 years acceptable in healthcare IT project management.
• Certification: PMP certification preferred but not required.
• Technical Skills: ServiceNow experience preferred.
• Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
• Action-Oriented: Ability to bring team members together to reach a common goal and drive progress forward.
• Project Management: Ability to monitor and track project progress, document issues and risks, and escalate when necessary to keep the project on track.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in technical fields such as computer science, computer engineering, or related field required.
• Basic Skills: IT project management in a healthcare environment, ability to work independently and manage one's time, basic knowledge of computer hardware and software.
