Tantus Technologies is seeking an IT Infrastructure Manager to lead and oversee the IT infrastructure and services under a federal program. As a key leadership role,you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the efforts of the Senior Applications Engineer, Data Center Manager, Network Administrator, and Systems Security Team Lead. This role ensures the seamless integration of all IT operations, maintaining high levels of system reliability, security, and performance. Additionally, you will oversee disaster recovery planning and ensure the continuity of operations in the event of a catastrophic failure. You will report directly to the Program Manager and works closely with government representatives to meet operational objectives.

What You'll Do:
- Leadership and Oversight:
- Supervise and lead the Senior Applications Engineer, Data Center Manager, Network Administrator, and Systems Security Team Lead, ensuring that their teams operate efficiently and effectively.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure all IT infrastructure, applications, and security measures are aligned with organizational goals and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Provide strategic direction and oversight, ensuring that all teams are working towards a unified operational strategy.
- IT Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and security systems, ensuring reliability and availability.
- Develop and implement operational strategies for proactive maintenance, capacity planning, and risk management.
- Manage infrastructure components such as Microsoft Servers, Linux systems, and network devices, optimizing them for performance and security.
- Disaster Recovery and Continuity of Operations:
- Lead the development and execution of disaster recovery plans, ensuring all IT services can be restored in the event of a catastrophic failure.
- Collaborate with the Senior Storage Administrator and other IT leaders to ensure that backup and restore processes are effective and compliant with federal regulations.
- Regularly test and update disaster recovery plans to ensure readiness and alignment with the overall IT strategy.
- Operational Planning and Execution:
- Establish operational objectives and delegate assignments to subordinate managers and technical staff, ensuring that all activities support the overall mission of the contract.
- Lead the resolution of complex technical problems, requiring in-depth analysis and coordination among multiple teams.
- Ensure that the operations team meets all deadlines, deliverables, and performance targets, consistently delivering high-quality services.
- Security and Compliance:
- Work closely with the Systems Security Team Lead to ensure that all IT operations comply with federal security standards, including FISMA and NIST guidelines.
- Oversee the implementation of security best practices across all IT systems, mitigating risks and ensuring data integrity.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Serve as the primary liaison between the operations teams and the Program Manager, providing regular updates on IT operations, challenges, and achievements.
- Collaborate with the Customer Support Team Lead to ensure that IT services are delivered smoothly and that any support issues are resolved quickly.
- Maintain strong communication channels with government representatives, addressing any operational concerns promptly and effectively.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all IT operations, including procedures, incident reports, performance metrics, and compliance records.
- Prepare and deliver detailed reports to the Program Manager and stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators, operational challenges, and areas for improvement.
- B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience (four years of related experience may be substituted for the degree requirement).
- ITIL v4 Foundations certification is required.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience supervising technical teams responsible for maintaining IT infrastructure and services, with demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams.
- Extensive knowledge of IT infrastructure management, including experience with servers, networks, storage, and security technologies.
- Experience with disaster recovery planning, execution, and continuity of operations.
- Expertise in analyzing complex problems and developing effective solutions, particularly in large-scale IT environments.
- US citizenship and the ability to obtain a public trust.
- Ensure the seamless operation and integration of IT infrastructure, applications, and security systems, maintaining high levels of reliability and performance.
- Lead and develop the operations team, driving continuous improvement in service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Oversee disaster recovery planning and execution, ensuring all IT services can be restored quickly and effectively in the event of a failure.
- Collaborate effectively with the Program Manager and other stakeholders, ensuring all operational objectives are met and any issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a proven track record of overseeing multiple technical teams and coordinating complex operations.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of effectively interacting with government representatives, team members, and stakeholders.
- NIH experience
