The Manager of IT Infrastructure & Security manages all aspects of the IT infrastructure and security of the Foundation (Service Desk, security, networks, systems, telecom, Disaster Recovery, etc.) whether performed internally or by a third party. This infrastructure includes network switches, routers, firewalls, servers, hardware, software, end user workstations and user profiles for a multi-facility environment including mobile dental clinics. The Manager of IT Infrastructure & Security provides exceptional and timely customer service, including resolving technical issues and providing ongoing training.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage a multi-facility system and network environment that includes mobile dental clinics.
- Manage local, metropolitan and wide area network hardware, software and firmware to ensure a secure and stable environment for servers, switches, routers, access points, end user workstations, laptops and printers.
- Manage Cisco Meraki eco-system of firewalls, network appliances and security systems.
- Oversee information security functions and policies related to data security in both hardware and software venues, including HIPAA compliance where applicable.
- Manage the Service Desk (which includes supervising two Help Desk Tech II resources), processes and procedures related to the Service Desk and the collection of Customer Satisfaction feedback.
- Manage network servers (virtual and physical), including troubleshooting hardware and software issues relating to network performance and managing installation of necessary patches and updates.
- Evaluate technology needs and network enhancement opportunities, including making recommendations for systems-related hardware and software purchases and solutions.
- Manage backup application software, backup of network files, and security software updates.
- Manage the MS Exchange Online e-mail environment, Office365, MS Azure, Box.com and other cloud-based services used by the Foundation.
- Manage standards for administration of user accounts on the network, E-mail mailboxes, and E-mail recipient lists and mailboxes.
- Manage the evaluation, implementation and maintenance of personal computers, systems hardware, and software applications.
- Manage service repairs.
- Assist the Director of IT in preparing the information technology budget, annual systems plan, and inventory for computer-related hardware and software.
- Prepare and publish periodic reports on the status of initiatives, metrics, and operations performance indicators.
- Manage ongoing performance improvements.
- Assist with ongoing technology training for staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of five years of professional technology experience in the support of networks and hardware and software support.
- Minimum of three years' experience managing technical resources.
- Technical working knowledge of VMware, Microsoft Azure, O365, Exchange, Windows Server, Linux, and Windows workstation operating systems in a networked environment.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively maintain network server performance, install new network services, and troubleshoot personal computer issues.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively train users of differing degrees of computer experience in the use of new and existing computer applications.
- High computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access.
- High degree of proficiency in the support of various computer applications, including Windows, Office, Box.com, and Veeam.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to multiple worksites within five (5) Central Texas counties including occasional nights and weekends.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of seven years of professional technology experience in the support of networks and hardware and software support.
- Experience working in the healthcare industry dealing with HIPAA requirements.
- Industry certifications from Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, ITIL, or ISACA (such as CISSP, CISM).
- Experience working with a Managed Service Provider (MSP).
- Experience creating and executing technology plans and strategies.
