The minimum pay based on requirements is $69,160 annually.
*Pay is determined based on prior experience. Consideration is given to previous relevant experience, as well as honorable military service time served.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF WORK
• Collaborate with the IT Director to develop and execute the city’s IT strategy.
• Implement and manage IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Oversee the city’s network infrastructure, including servers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Coordinate and plan activities and training with all City departments.
• Ensure data security and compliance with government standards.
• Ongoing “help desk” support for employees and City Council members, training city personnel in computer application and use; acting as an intermediary between City users and third-party software vendors when questions and problems arise
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Strong knowledge of network administration, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies.
• Project management experience.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
• Experience working with ticketing systems to streamline support issues and resolutions.
• Ability to listen, analyze, train, and fix user issues.
• Understanding that customer service is a high priority.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field, strongly preferred.
• At least five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in Information Technology or related fields, required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• This is a mostly sedentary position. Few tasks that require heavy lifting, pulling, pushing, or carrying heavy loads. (Exerting 20 to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 lbs. of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 lbs. of force constantly). Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, grasp, and perform similar body movements; possesses hand/eye coordination adequate to operate a computer, telephone, and other office machines; ability to talk and hear in person, and by telephone; ability to see and read instructions, correspondence, memoranda, and similar materials.

Vacation Leave — Available after end of training period. Vacation accrues each pay period (every 2 weeks) and accrual rate is based on years of service.
Sick Leave - Accrue 8 hours of sick leave per month, no wait period.
Holidays - The City provides 11 paid holidays.
Medical and Dental Insurance – The City covers at least 85% of the premiums of all plans. Available 1st of the month following date of hire.
Retirement – After the training period, The City will contribute 7% of gross compensation into a 401a plan and will match up to 3% of employee contribution for a total of 10%.
