Job Summary: The IT Manager will lead and oversee the organization’s IT infrastructure, operations, and strategy. The ideal candidate will ensure the seamless management of IT services, maintain the security and stability of the organization’s systems, and drive technology projects aligned with the business goals. This role requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of both infrastructure and software, and the ability to lead teams while maintaining a high level of operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Infrastructure and Operations Management:
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and performance of the organization’s IT infrastructure, including networking, servers, and storage.
- Manage environments running Microsoft 365, Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, Cisco Meraki, VMWare esxi, Hyper-V Clustering, and Snaplogic.
- Ensure high availability and reliability of systems and applications.
- Cyber Security and Compliance:
- Implement and manage robust security protocols using Microsoft Defender, Tenable Vulnerability Management, and KnowBe4 to mitigate security risks.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal security policies.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to address potential threats.
- Project and Vendor Management:
- Lead cross-functional IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Manage vendor relationships, including contract negotiations, performance evaluations, and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure service delivery.
- Oversee the integration of third-party software and hardware into existing systems.
- Strategic Roadmapping and IT Strategy:
- Manage and execute the IT roadmap in alignment with business objectives, focusing on system scalability, integration, and optimization.
- Collaborate with CFO to define technology goals that support business growth and efficiency.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Develop and manage the IT department’s budget, including forecasting for future technology investments.
- Track and report on IT expenditures, ensuring optimal use of resources and alignment with financial goals.
- Policy Development and Maintenance:
- Create, update, and enforce IT policies and procedures to maintain operational integrity and security.
- Ensure documentation is maintained and reflects current practices and compliance standards.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and coach IT staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Encourage professional growth through continuous learning and development initiatives.
- Manage IT support operations using platforms like Service Desk Plus to maintain high service levels.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in IT management roles, with a focus on infrastructure, security, and operations.
- Extensive experience with the following technologies: Microsoft 365, Microsoft Windows, Cisco Meraki, Active Directory, Hyper-V Clustering, VMWare esxi, Acumatica ERP, Snaplogic, and security tools like Microsoft Defender and Tenable.
- Strong understanding of cyber security best practices and policy development.
- Demonstrated experience in IT budgeting, vendor management, and leading complex technology projects.
- Proven track record of developing IT roadmaps that align with organizational goals.
- Exceptional leadership skills with experience in coaching, mentoring, and managing high-performing teams.
