About the Job
Support and/or lead the implementation of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) projects or other Ignition (digital transformation platform for Manufacturing) based projects. Provide support and leadership that provides timely direction, guidance, and interface between IT and OT. This role is to be a project 'Champion' for MES at various production sites, following corporate standards for factory automation and business requirements.
The MES Analyst is a cross-functional role that requires knowledge in hardware and software development and their applications in a Manufacturing environment.

Background in IT, MES, and PLC's is desired.
DUTIES:
- Work with the IT Manager and other business leaders to define and discuss MES user requirements working with quality, manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams
- Organize and coordinate MES/PCS Interface sessions with all automation suppliers
- Organize and lead of the integration MES test interfaces ( ERP and PLC's)
- Organize the training of the factory super users
- Coordinate efforts with the MES supplier to deliver documentation
- Troubleshooting MES solutions and share support after hours, if needed
- Coordinate design efforts for new system projects and support the implementation and use of these systems/applications
- Ensure the reliability and accuracy of MES applications implemented
- Work with the System Administrators and Network Engineer to design and deploy a robust solution architecture
- Writing documentation, including data standards, tag data, procedures and definitions
- Controlling access permissions and privileges
- Assist in capacity planning for new systems
- Commissioning and installing new applications
- Customizing existing applications to fit changing business needs
- Maintaining data standards
- 5-10 years of MES implementation / support experience
- Manufacturing industry experience in a fast-paced environment
- Associate's / Bachelor's Degree in a Technology or Engineering-related discipline is preferred
- Knowledge/experience with Ignition (digital transformation platform for Manufacturing), SQL, and PLC interfaces is desired
- Ability to work flexible hours including some on call support including weekends
- Hands-on experience and knowledge of MES and Automation
- Database systems experience, Microsoft SQL Server preferred
- Ability to prioritize work items
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Experience with TCP/IP Networks, Bar Code Printers and Scanners, RF Data Collection
