Position Summary: The Network Engineer is responsible for architecting, maintaining, and securing our network infrastructure in a growing complex environment. The Network Engineer would also be assisting other areas in designing efficient and redundant connectivity for needed systems

Position Summary: The Network Engineer is responsible for architecting, maintaining, and securing our network infrastructure in a growing complex environment. The Network Engineer would also be assisting other areas in designing efficient and redundant connectivity for needed systems
Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN).
- Monitor network performance and integrity.
- Assist in troubleshooting server, application, and network issues.
- Vendor management for network providers and hardware suppliers.
- Travel may be required occasionally.
- LAN/WAN, TCP-IP, MPLS, VPN, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, NAT.
- Network Performance Tuning - SNMP, NetFlow, IP SLA.
- Cisco IOS and NXOS.
- Cisco Firepower Threat Defense/ Firepower Management Center.
- Cisco Storage area network.
- Cisco Datacenter Technology - UCS.
- Cisco Routed Campus - L3, Access configuration/maintenance.
- Cisco Switches - Catalyst 9500/9300, Nexus 9K.
- Meraki Security Appliances, Access Points, Switches.
- CUCM, Unity, IMP high available cluster management and maintenance.
- Cisco Unified Border Element (CUBE)/ Cisco Expressway design and maintenance.
- Cisco Webex Room Kit management and device setup and support.
- Emerging technology trends.
- Network Automation.
- Network Backup and Archive procedures.
- Creating and modifying External DNS Records.
- Software Defined Networking.
- NAC and 802.1x.
- VMware.
- Python Scripting.
- Cisco StealthWatch.
- Implementing and maintain disaster recovery solutions.
- SDWAN Technologies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or other technical discipline.
Licenses & Certifications:
- Certification in one or more of the following areas is a plus:
- CCNP Enterprise Core or CCNP Collaboration
Experience:
- Required minimum of five (5) years’ experience in system engineering or network engineering In-depth understanding of communication protocols.
- Experience in Network Security and Compliance-related certifications such as PCI.
- Experience in enterprise-level monitoring tools for measuring network performance, and full environment reliability (e.g., SolarWinds, WhatsUp Gold).
