CPP- Bloomington, MN is looking to hire an experienced IT Network Specialist to join our team.
If you have a BS in Computer Science, 5+ years of previous experience in client server environment we want to hear from you. This position is onsite with a flexible schedule and offers a full-benefits package, robust PTO plan, 401K and base salary.
What will you do?
This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Ref ugee.

What will you do?
- Maintain a high level of knowledge of new equipment technology and recommend short- and long-range hardware acquisitions.
- Responsible for the installation and movement of new hardware, software, cabling and networks for Local Area Networks and Network Servers.
- Help select maintenance service contractor for new equipment and maintain service records.
- Inform appropriate personnel of new equipment purchases to ensure proper insurance is obtained.
- Assure that computer networks and servers and other office related equipment are operating properly.
- Responsible for all Network and Server upgrades (hardware and systems software), P.C. and Local Area Network connection to the company's main system and assure network data integrity for all departments.
- Assist with the installation of new third-party application software.
- Collaborate with users and other personnel to recommend what computer hardware should be purchased to meet their needs and also ensure they are compatible with current hardware.
- Ensure that all vendor supplied system documentation manuals are up to date.
- Consult with vendors and suppliers concerning computer upgrades and enhancements and make recommendations to Manager.
- Assure that all new releases of operations system software, utilities, programming language generators, program temporary fixes (PTF's), etc. are current and that changes are communicated to appropriate personnel.
