About the Job
Flint Hills Resources (FHR) is seeking a IT/OT Systems Supervisor to join our IT/OT team. In this player/coach role you will lead, supervise, and directly contribute to delivery of reliable and secure IT services. You will have the opportunity to work on modern cloud technologies, on-prem virtualization platforms, and storage solutions. You will work closely with plant operations teams in the deployment, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of systems critical to the safety and operations of our plants. You will be a product owner and own infrastructure applications, such as secure remote access, backup solutions, secrets management, monitoring platforms, and patching solutions. This role will sit at our headquarters in Wichita, KS.
The ideal candidate will bring their breadth of knowledge and experience to support both onsite and remote system infrastructure running in 24x7x365 environments. Your strong conceptual, analytical problem-solving ability and your ability to collaborate with a team will be essential to your success in this role.
What You Will Do
- Lead and supervise a team of Senior Systems Administrators
- Develop, mentor, and motivate your team to self-actualize, maximize their contributions, and enhance their application of Principle Based Management
- Create and own (accountable for) service delivery, work processes, and documentation required for running a reliable capability
- Contribute to vision, growth, and strategic decision-making.
- Maintain relationships with customers and peers to support both on-site and remote infrastructure
- Participate in projects involving multiple capabilities, customers and vendors
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems involving multiple systems, storage, and network components
- Monitor system & network performance using standard tools, creating baselines, and capacity planning
- Respond to system incidents according to established operating procedures
- Create and maintain documentation of system & network infrastructure, processes, configurations, etc.
- Be a product owner for different infrastructure applications critical to running our reliable services
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience mentoring and developing talent through direct supervision of employees
- Experience managing enterprise system infrastructure (cloud and virtualization)
- Experience managing monitoring platforms
- Willing and able to be on-call on a rotational basis and to respond to calls 24/7 for emergency response
- Willingness to travel (up to 25%)
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience in process control and\or industrial environments
- Experience with server virtualization, cloud, domain management, tools management (backup, remote access, monitoring, ticketing, etc.)
