Duties
As an IT Program Manager, you will perform the following duties:
Advises in the development and implementation of OSM automated spectrum management tools, products, and capabilities, and an expert in project management for IT implementation
Provides oversight and leadership in the execution of broad and complex technology initiatives to effectively service the Federal spectrum management business requirements
Identifies requirements for infrastructure configuration or change management, and develop Information System testing strategies, plans or scenarios.Advises in the development and implementation of OSM automated spectrum management tools, products, and capabilities, and an expert in project management for IT implementation
Provides oversight and leadership in the execution of broad and complex technology initiatives to effectively service the Federal spectrum management business requirements
Identify requirements for infrastructure configuration or change management, and develop Information System testing strategies, plans or scenarios.Proactively identify and mitigate risks
Utilize project management software tools to ensure projects are kept on schedule and within budget by applying various project management methodologies
These include cost and time estimates, performance metrics and identifying and managing project risks and dependencies.Provides briefings on all aspects of the project and understand the organizational mission and corporate direction.Communicates policies, direction, and needs to ensure resources are aligned with IT strategic direction.This Job Opportunity Announcement may be used to fill other IT Program Manager GS-2210-14 FPL 14 positions within the Department of Commerce in the same geographical location with the same qualifications and specialized experience.
