IT Program/Project Manager at AKKODIS

Akkodis is seeking an IT Program/Project Manager for a Contract job with a client in Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leading development teams and managing complex programs to ensure all projects within the program meet timelines and milestones.

 

Rate Range: $52/hour to $58/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

 

IT Program/Project Manager job responsibilities include:

• Managing end-to-end delivery of programs, ensuring that projects are aligned with business goals and meet deadlines.

• Overseeing all projects within a program, providing direction to project managers, and ensuring successful execution.

• Identifying and managing Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies (RAID) and reporting them proactively to stakeholders.

• Publishing weekly status reports for the program and preparing presentation materials for senior stakeholders.

• Meeting regularly with project managers to assess progress, address challenges, and provide necessary support.

• Facilitating communication within cross-functional teams across different time zones to ensure project alignment.

• Applying agile methodologies and principles of scaled agile delivery, including PI planning and scrum practices.

• Preparing for and conducting regular reviews to ensure projects stay on track and deliverables are met.

• Collaborating closely with business and technology managers to align project goals with organizational objectives.

• Utilizing tools like SQL, MS Excel, JIRA, MS Project, and SharePoint to support program management activities and maintain documentation.

 

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in program/project management, preferably in IT or financial services.

• Strong expertise in managing projects using Agile methodologies, including familiarity with scaled agile delivery and PI planning.

• Experience with SQL and database design concepts.

• Proven experience in working with cross-functional teams and managing projects related to risk analytics or financial markets.

Pay Details: $52.00 to $68.00 per hour
