About the Job
The Project Manager-IT is responsible for the direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of technology projects while remaining aligned with the strategy, commitments, and goals of the firm. Hybrid position requiring at least 2 days/ week onsite at our Kansas City, MO office.
* Develops and defines project scope, determines goals, outlines project deliverables for project success. Identify and suggest solutions to mitigate project risks.
* Create project tasks and calculates budget costs for the required resources necessary for completion of the project.
* Assembles project team members to establish project requirements, , schedule, timeline, and deliverables.
* Ensures that assigned projects are managed and tracked using project management tools and techniques.
* Provides support and directs team members during duration of project.
* Manage project quality assurance, testing, and end user training.
* Report to Supervisor project status and any related issues.
* Provide reports to stakeholders on project's progress, issues, risks, and dependencies.
* Implement and manage changes, when necessary, to meet project deliverables.
* Review and analyze the outcome when a project is finished to ensure that the knowledge gained can be applied to future projects to improve efficiency.
* Manages several projects simultaneously.
* Provides after-hours, on call support for projects during and after implementation for the firm as needed.

* 2-3 years of information technology experience;
* 1-2 years of project management experience;
* Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline;
* or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification and/or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) preferred or equivalent experience as a project manager.
Technical Skills:
* Needs to be proficient in using project management software and tools to define and communicate project timelines, issues, decisions, and risks.
* Experience using Smartsheet and Microsoft Teams is preferred.
* Needs to have an understanding of technology projects such as; software and hardware deployments, networking, AI, cloud migration, and Information Security.
* Other Skills Ability to establish and foster relationships within the organization as success depends on teamwork and collaboration.
* Displays excellent written and verbal communication skills with leaders, team members and vendors. Is able to promote an atmosphere of leadership in all projects managed and help solve problems as they arise. Can demonstrate effective project planning, risk management, and time management skills. When conflicts arise, is able to resolve any issue effectively, maintain team cohesion, and keep projects on track. Previous conflict resolution experience is required.
