In your role as Functional Architect, EWM & LE, you will play a technical leadership role within the SAP organization in Logistics Execution (LE) and Warehousing (EWM). In addition, you will be serving as a primary liaison and strategic business partner with business leadership.
This will be a hands-on configurator role with no people management responsibility. You will be responsible for providing the necessary solution expertise to drive the global SAP Supply Chain design and solutioning across ECC and S4. This role will also work with the global business teams and global SAP team to identify opportunities to promote leading industry practices, streamline and drive system driven business process improvements.
This position requires exposure to industry best practices and technology trends with the ability and interest to expand across technologies, when required.
This role will be remote or hybrid, based in our Niles, IL location.
Responsibilities:- Responsible for providing solution expertise, hands-on solution design, performing solution build/configuration, build test cases, test execution and implementing integrated end to end solutions
- Responsible for providing solution design in the supply chain area including Logistics Execution (LE), Warehousing (EWM) platforms and related deliverables for large, transformational, global projects.
- Collaborate and communicate with business stakeholders, understand business requirements, provide deep SAP Functional expertise in the related process areas (SAP MM, SAP LE, Trade Compliance, SAP EWM, Ariba), demonstrate knowledge of key integration points, perform fit / gap analysis, proto-type and frame up solution design options for decision making
- Examines and evaluates existing business processes as well as key challenges/ opportunities within the key process area identified above
- Work closely with the SAP analysts to perform the necessary design reviews, and deliver quality solutions within time and budget
- Continually review evolving SAP technologies within SAP MM, SAP LE, EWM, Ariba and assess potential impact, and propose innovative solutions and/or enhancements to existing business processes.
- Collaborate and support the SAP Team located in US and Asia time zone during development, testing and implementation
- Understand the data & analytical platform capabilities and support the implementation of the new platform during blueprint, testing and go live; Support the newly established Data Governance processes
- Ensure solution design proposal adhere to the established security and data standards.
- Participate and support all phases of the project including planning, blueprint, solutioning, development, testing and support as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in related field. Graduate coursework is desirable.
- Minimum of 8 years working experience with a heavy focus on SAP supply chain solutions and at least 4 years of experience on large, transformational initiatives in a fast paced, complex environment
- Experience providing solution and driving large, global, transformational initiatives.
- Knowledge and integration experience handling 2 ERP systems (SAP-ECC, SAP S4), Business Intelligence, Data platform, Third party tools like ShipERP, Trade compliance tools, etc...
- Demonstrated ability to work on complex issues of diverse scope where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends.
- Process-oriented with high attention to detail in exercising experience-based judgement to determine appropriate methods and actions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills
- Excellent problem solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Able to quickly learn new concepts and technology
- Able to follow processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
