IT Security Specialist - Cloud Architect Only W2 (Citizen, GC, GC EAD)

Locations: Chicago, IL or Denver, CO (Hybrid)

Candidate Preference: Local candidates or those willing to relocate to either Chicago, IL or Denver, CO

Must-Have Skills & Experience:

• Cloud Security Expertise: 5+ years experience in cloud security, compliance, and risk management (including privacy and controls)
• Cloud Strategy & Implementation: Experience building or evolving enterprise security strategies for cloud adoption.
• Technical Security: Hands-on technical expertise in security architecture, automation, integration, and deployment (DevOps).
• Cloud Platforms & Tools: Deep knowledge of cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and orchestration tools (Pivotal Cloud Foundry, BOSH, Kubernetes, Docker).
• Cloud Architecture: Proven experience architecting solutions within AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Strong domain expertise in cloud compute, network, storage, and control plane.
• Security & Compliance: Familiarity with enterprise security standards and compliance frameworks.
• Security Tools: Experience with cloud security and governance tools, CASBs, and server virtualization technologies.
• Reference Architecture: Experience building security reference architectures for all-in cloud and hybrid deployments.
• Enterprise Security: Familiarity with WAF, IPS, Anti-DDOS, and SIEM solutions.
• Risk Management: Understanding of enterprise risk management methods for a global environment.
• Cloud Migration: Working knowledge of cloud computing technologies and the challenges associated with workload transition.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of robust security architectures for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Develop and implement enterprise cloud security strategies and roadmaps.
• Evaluate and select appropriate cloud security and governance tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security is integrated throughout the SDLC and DevOps processes.
• Conduct security assessments and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.
• Stay current on emerging cloud security threats and technologies.

• Highly technical and analytical with 5-8 years of IT implementation experience.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
