About the Job
Madrigal is a biopharmaceutical company pursuing novel therapeutics for non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), also known as metabolic dysfunction associated steatohepatitis (MASH). Our first therapy, Rezdiffra (resmetirom), was granted accelerated approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of adults with NASH with moderate to advanced liver fibrosis (consistent with stages F2 to F3 fibrosis) and is being studied in a Phase 3 trial for the treatment of NASH with compensated cirrhosis.
Role Overview:
Reporting to the CIO, this role is a senior leadership and business partner role responsible for providing strategic direction, oversight, and management of Information Technology initiatives within the Patient Services function of Madrigal. This position requires a seasoned IT professional with a strong understanding of the unique IT needs and challenges within the Patient Access, Support and Services domain in the pharmaceutical industry.
Position Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute the IT strategy aligned with Patient Access objectives and the overall business strategy.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure IT initiatives support and enhance Patient Services processes, including Patient Support, Access & Reimbursement, as well as Patient Services Marketing.
- System Implementation and Enhancement:
- Oversee the implementation and enhancement of IT systems supporting Patient Services functions, such as Patient Support platforms, CRM and communication tools for the Access & Reimbursement Managers, digital channels and other tools to support Madrigal’s customer engagement model.
- Drive value by leveraging technology, data, and AI to optimize Patient Services operations and enhance communication with healthcare professionals.
- Ensure systems comply with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Regulatory, Compliance, and Market Access teams, to understand IT needs and deliver integrated solutions.
- Engage with key stakeholders internally and externally to design and deliver IT solutions that align with Patient Services goals.
- Coordinate with other IT business partners to assure the smooth handoff of assets and responsibilities for cross-functional engagements.
- Team Management:
- Build and lead a high-performing IT team supporting Patient Services, fostering a collaborative and innovative work culture.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, promoting professional development and growth.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 10 years of progressive leadership experience in IT, with a focus on supporting Patient Services in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven track record of successful implementation and management of IT systems supporting Patient Services processes.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements related to IT systems in support of Patient Services.
- Strategic thinking and leadership abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong project management skills with a focus on delivering results.
- In-depth knowledge of IT systems relevant to Patient Services, including Patient Support software, call centers, payer access and reimbursement dynamics, and CRM systems
- Regulatory affairs knowledge related to IT systems in the pharmaceutical industry.
Base salary is determined by several factors that include, but are not limited to, a successful candidate's qualifications, skills, education, experience, business needs, and market demands. The role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits, which include flexible paid time off (PTO), medical, dental, vision, and life and disability insurance.
