Responsibilities You will support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of operations, and activity solutions using IT based on customer needs and requirements. You will ensure procedures are developed and implemented per configuration management (CM) policies and practices for authorizing the use of software and hardware on training systems. You will consult with customers to evaluate functional requirements. You will oversee and make recommendations regarding configuration management. You will act as Technical Agent for MPT and E/NETC contracting staff, reviewing all trouble tickets, managing workload, and setting priorities. You will evaluate learning site new IT hardware and software specifications and generates IT Purchase Requests (ITPRs) for and Open Purchase Requests (OPRs) procurement. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Demonstrating knowledge and skill of agency cyber security (CS) standards, policies, and processes to analyze and advise on CS matters and evaluating the need for changes in existing policies and procedures; 2) Utilizing a wide range of IT and communication computer security techniques, requirements, methods, sources, and procedures in INFOSEC; 3) Implementing full range of IT security principles, methods, regulations, policies, products and services sufficient to develop specifications to ensure compliance with security requirements; 4) Applying the Risk Management Framework (RMF) for assessment and authorization initiatives to conduct a security assessment and attaining an Authority to Operate (ATO) for the Learning Site training networks; and 5) Implementing security controls, activities to attain an authorization for the site/system to operate within acceptable risk parameters, and continuous monitoring and assessment of a site or system for security relevant events and impacts. Education Basic Requirements for Education: All academic degrees and coursework must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutionsUndergraduate or Graduate Education: Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks. Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled.
