Cooley Law School seeks an IT Specialist. This position is located at Cooley's Lansing, Michigan campus.
The Information Technology (IT) Specialist provides Tier 1 Help Desk support to faculty, staff and students resolving problems with computers, applications, systems, devices, phone system, wireless access, and hardware issues; identifies, researches, and resolves complex technical problems; documents, tracks, and monitors problems using applications and tools. The IT Specialist will coordinate with other teams and specialists to resolve issues. Provide hardware support and server assistance as assigned with assistance from the network team.
Successful candidates will possess all or many of the following qualifications and/or skills: knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired through an Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, higher a plus; a minimum of one year of IT experience. COMP TIA A+, a plus. Knowledge of computer hardware and software systems including operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite; excellent communication skills and customer service; willingness to learn new systems and technologies; excellent analytical and diagnostic skills; and, ability to interact positively with individuals from a variety of diverse backgrounds.
