About the Job
VTG is seeking an IT Specialist in Pearl City, Hawaii.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical expertise and direct enhanced support as the resident IT Helpdesk Tier- II/III Specialist to identify solutions to mitigate issues causing impact to workflow to include administrative Information Technology (IT) tier-I/II/III issues and specialized IT technical advisor projects.
Technical Expertise and Direct enhanced support includes but are not limited to the following areas:
- Tier 0/1 VTC scheduling and management (direct scheduling in system)
- National Security Agency (NSA) VTC scheduling and management
- APIIN, BISES, BISON, and CF-KOREA VTC scheduling and management
- Account processing for NMCI, CENTRIXS, VSE, JWICS (SAAR Forms)
- Application trouble shooting (Outlook, IE, Chrome, etc.)
- Certificate Recovery for users (NIPR/SIPR)
- IT Hardware Troubleshooting and connections (Cabling / Media Converters)
- NMCI IT services and CTR processes
- DISA services and support processes
- NSA services and support processes
- ONI HOPPER services and support processes
- Special Access Program services and support processes
- Information Assurance compliance processes
- Cryptographic Management processes
Lead the efforts to ensure the following is completed to COMPACFLT standards: Coordinate daily administration of COMPACFLT JWICS network including account creation, workstation and server installation as required, workstation and server maintenance, network equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting of server, workstation and network issues, and JWICS outages.
Identify possible network and system enhancements and develop/execute project plans as directed by COMPACFLT N2.
Execute NMCI events (refresh, system upgrades) along with account requests and move/add/change requests.
Qualifications:- At least five (5) years providing technical and direct support as IT Helpdesk Tier-II/III
- At least five (5) years of experience with management of IT systems infrastructure and related processes.
- At least five (5) years of experience with JWICS network including account creation, workstation and server installation, server maintenance, network equipment maintenance and troubleshooting of network issues and JWICS outages.
- At least five (5) years of experience with DISA, NSA, ONI HOPPER, Special Access Program services and support processes.
- At least five (5) years of experience with NMCI refresh and system upgrades, account requests and move/add/change (MAC) requests.
- At least three (3) years of experience conducting IT training for personnel
- At least three (3) years’ experience with JWICS-DVTC (Tandberg) technical and administrative
Education
- Bachelors Degree in logistics, facilities, management, engineering, information systems, computer science, mathematics, physics or other related scientific or technical discipline from an accredited University or 3+ years of experience with Government/DOD/Navy contract/task management.
Certifications
- CISSP or Security +
- Active Top Secret Clearance

Pay Range: VTG’s estimated starting pay range is $90,000-110,000, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
