About the Job
NYS Office of Mental Health (OMH) is seeking a IT Specialist Senior to provide technical assistance and assesment of desginated NYS OMH facilities via the NYS ITS Network Site Consultation process. This will include but not limited to circuit bandwidth, Voice Over IP (VoIP) phone system upgrades and wireless upgrades. The position will require travel to complete the physical site assessments.

Day to Day task include:
- Install, relocate, and remove equipment.
- Work with VOIP phones, WAPS, and data communications equipment to support the NYS Office of Mental Health (OMH).
- Participate in planning and execution of all project phases, including:
- Request analysis
- Site surveys
- Site preparation
- Cable troubleshooting and installation
- Asset management
- Inventory control
- Provide network assistance.
Requested Qualifications:
- 60 Months of Experience installing/troubleshooting PCs and Printers
- 60 Months of Experience installing/troubleshooting servers
- 12 Months of Experience installing/troubleshooting VOIP phones
- 60 Months of Experience installing/troubleshooting data communications equipment
- 60 Months of Experience conducting technical site surveys
- 60 Months of Experience data cable installation/troubleshooting
- 36 Months of Experience conducting inventory control
- 36 Months of Experience in desktop support
Work hours and location:
- Full time role with engagement length of 30 months
- Daily work hours: Monday - Friday (8:30am - 5pm)
- Physical office location: Harriman State Campus Building 8 Albany, NY 12227
- Telecommuting options: This will need to be determined on an as need basis given the travel required for this position. This will require supervisor approval.
