IT Specialist / System Administrator - Kratos Defense

Kratos Defense & Rocket Support Services is seeking highly qualified and capable candidates to provide temporary backfill for the D3I D2 - IT Specialist / System Administrator position per the SMDC NCR-IADS Task Order. Candidates with experience with the SCARNG DOIM and/or 263dAAMDC are highly encouraged to apply against this temporary position.

The selected candidate will provide support in the purchase, design, build, test and maintain LAN/MAN/WANs supporting operational and testing architectures. This includes Network integration, network management, network configuration, monitoring, issue resolution and reporting on operations. The candidate will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating software products and providing quality assurance. The candidate will provide assistance and oversight for all information systems, computer and communications, to include security, control, and operations.

The position requires a CompTIA Security+ certification or continuing education. Additional system administration requirements may include government furnished distributed training hardware and tactical systems to include radar systems, tactical radios, and C2 and Fire control workstations. This effort is required to provide constant 24/7 support of a critical mission. The candidate will be required to attend and participate in technical interchanges and meetings, assist with the development of network design documentation packages, and support system and network accreditation processes.

Required Experience:

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or GED or higher and CompTIA, Security+ and Network+
• Candidate must have three (3) or more years of relevant experience working in an IT-related field.
• Must have at least an active Secret DoD Security Clearance.
• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft, Linux, networking NSA Type 1 encryption devices, VOIP, email, video teleconferencing, Microsoft Server Systems (Exchange, SharePoint, and SQL Server), VMware, EPO Antivirus Server, Symantic Backup, MS Active Directory Admin, and Cisco (switches, routers, 5510 Firewalls, and intrusion prevention systems).
• Additional CompTIA certifications, to include Cisco certifications are desired, but not required for this position.
• Demonstrated ability to manage, configure and STIG network devices, load and configure inline encryption devices, and apply system patches is a plus.
• Direct experience working with the SCARNG DOIM and/or 263rd AAMDC is desired.
