Education:
• Preferred bachelor's degree in a technical field or relevant work experience - no certs required/nice to have
Years of experience: Level 2 3-5 years
Must Have Technical Skills:
• Mainframe development experience with COBOL (batch and online)
• JCL
Flex Skills/Nice to Have:
• Mainframe Sas/report writing experience
• Experience with agile/dev ops, DB2 MQ series, endevor, service now, File-AID
Soft Skills:
• Good communication both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently
• High attention to detail
The Specialty Software Engineer will work towards supporting the mainframe accounting system for the asset management group
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Design and code new development and application maintenance
• Design and execute test to achieve the stated expected outcome in partnership with the Quality Engineer and business resource
• Deploy solution in adherence to Change Management guidelines
• Participate in all Agile Ceremonies
• Be available for the Bi-Monthly 24/7 On Call Support Rotation and adhered to Application Service Level Agreements
• Be Customer Focus and Risk Aware – immediately raise any questions or concerns
