About the Job
Specific Job Duties:
- Help Desk for iSeries Applications and Tape Backups. Work with Ticketing System (Service-Now). Communicate with Users by Phone, Email or Microsoft Teams to Resolve Issues.
- iSeries IPL Maintenance Once a Month.
- Organize all Onsite and Offsite Tape Logs, Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Yearly.
- Manage Offsite Tape Storage with Iron Mountain.
- Monitor/Update IBM Tape Libraries and Tape Inventory.
- Data Center Alarm Monitoring. Water Detection, UPS, and Fire suppression.
Preferred Skills:
- IBM iSeries as an Admin or Operator.
- Working with IBM Green Screen.
- Tape Library Backup Systems. Restoring Data as Needed.
- Help Desk Level 1
- Ticketing System Experience.
- Ability to Manage and Escalate Trouble Tickets if Needed.
- Detailed Inventory and Organizational Skills.
