IT Support Specialist Role:
The IT Support Specialist will work hand in hand with technology and business professionals to support and maintain our technology, including end-user computers, peripheral equipment (printers, desk phones, smart phones) and email accounts. The specialist will have an overall responsibility for maintaining the technology in the community. They will provide outstanding customer service to all staff, residents, family members, responsible persons, and visitors of residents in the community.
IT Support Specialist Responsibilities:
- Be the first responder to technical requests or problems - Provide level technical support to the company's users via on site, email, phone, and our ticketing system
- Utilizing our IT ticketing system, must escalate tickets based on priority
- Provide technology orientation and basic training to staff and assist the Inspīr IT team with equipment, software and other IT orders
- Assist the Inspīr/Maplewood team with on-/off-boarding procedures (e.g., getting equipment ready and accounts created for new hires)
- Working with the Inspīr IT team and our IT vendors to coordinate IT service visits with staff
- Create and maintain IT documentation regarding known issues and installation guides
- Provide remote and onsite support for peripherals, such as smart TV's, printers, copiers and mobile devices
- Research and test and evaluate new technology
- Carry out other duties as assigned
Education, Certification and Experience Requirements:
- Two (2) years’ experience in an IT-related role
- Creative approach to problem solving & strong analytical skills
- Experience supporting Windows 7, 8 and 10 operating systems
- Experience with AD, Office 365 and Google Apps
- Experience supporting desktop computers, laptops, tablets and smart phones (i.e. iOS and droid)
- A+ or Network + or Microsoft certifications
- Experience and passion in working with seniors preferred
- Criminal background check required
