JOB SUMMARY The IS Support Specialist uses their specialized knowledge and skills to provide technical support to end-users within the organization. This position requires an independent thinker who enjoys challenges and thrives on promptly resolving a myriad of computer problems in a courteous and professional manner. This is an on-site position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Prioritize and respond to IT service requests in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that users receive assistance quickly and systems are restored to full functionality. Set up equipment for employee use, performing and ensuring proper installation, integration and functionality of hardware, software, phones, and peripheral devices. Work closely with users to identify unique technical needs, particularly for specialized or non-standard computing devices, and document these requirements for future reference and troubleshooting. Coordinate efforts between the organization and external vendors to diagnose and address hardware, software or system malfunctions. Diagnose and resolve technical issues by utilizing troubleshooting techniques and problem-solving skills to minimize system downtime. Keep accurate records of all hardware and software assets, ensuring that inventory data is always up to date to facilitate easy tracking and management. Stay abreast of the latest advancements and trends in Information Technology to ensure the organization s systems are using up- to-date and secure solutions.
