Overview:
This individual will be the primary point of contact in the IT department for users having issues with computer hardware, printers, handhelds, tablets or other telecommunication equipment. This individual will set up and maintain desktops, laptops, tablets, handhelds and other IT related equipment.
Responsibilities:- Install, configure and maintain desktop and laptop PCs and peripherals such as printers, scanners, and copiers.
- Install, configure and maintain application and operation system software as well as relevant updates, patches, and upgrades.
- Install and maintain accurate inventory of software and computer equipment for entire organization.
- Provide ongoing technical assistance to all departments in the procurement, installation, and operation of computer equipment suitable for their needs.
- Troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties.
- Apply computer repairs (in-house and on-site), including hardware replacement, operating system reinstalls, virus/malware removal, and other computer repair tasks as needed.
- Make recommendations on hardware, software, printers and peripheral parts/supplies as needed.
- Request quotes from approved vendors for needed hardware and software.
- Coordinate and organize the storage of all IT related equipment and supplies. Recycle equipment as needed.
- Research new hardware and software to assist the IT Department in its innovation/development.
Education and Experience:
- Requires Associate Degree in the computer sciences.
- Two to five years of professional service related to end user IT hardware and hardware diagnostics required.
- Strong understanding of desktop operating systems, networking principles and MS applications.
Skills and Abilities:
- Provide a high level of customer service in resolving hardware related service requests.
- Ability to problem-solve, capable of managing multiple priorities, work independently and take initiative.
- Working knowledge of PC hardware components, operating system software, application software or software development.
Technologies (Hardware/Software): Desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, scanners, multi-function devices, virus protection software, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Windows.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or touch; and talk or hear
- This job requires moving from the offices to various production areas
- Must lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
