About the Job
As a Systems Administrator/Consultant, you will play a key role in managing and enhancing the Firm's technical operations, ensuring optimal performance for both the Firm and its clients. You will report to the Director of IT, Managing Partner, and Head of the Technology Committee, collaborating closely with Supervisors, Managers, Principals, and Partners. Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues effectively.
- Identify root causes and implement solutions to reduce downtime and disruptions.
- Assist internal team members and external clients by addressing IT support requests and providing training on business applications.
- Create sign-in credentials for new hires and revoke access for departing team members.
- Oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, upgrade, and support of IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, telephones, software applications, and peripherals.
- Offer expertise and assistance during system upgrades, installations, conversions, and file maintenance.
- Support system development, enhancements, and the integration of new systems with existing ones.
- Collaborate with the Director of IT to develop strategies for enhancing client services, improving user efficiency, and fostering innovation.
- Stay updated on the latest technologies and evaluate new solutions to meet business and system needs.
- Implement IT policies and procedures related to architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service delivery.
- Uphold the Firm's mission by adhering to all standards, policies, procedures, and confidentiality guidelines.
- Comply with the Firm's policies and procedures, including manuals and relevant software.
Additional Responsibilities:

Work Environment:
This position is based in an office setting. It requires full mobility and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. You will routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The role may involve long hours and occasional weekend work, as well as on-call availability during busy periods.
Travel:
Primarily local travel to Firm and client offices during business hours.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or a minimum of four (4) years of recent experience in information technology.
- Familiarity with current technologies and products used in the industry.
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems.
- Experience with Citrix and/or SQL is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to gather information and explain complex technical concepts clearly.
- Excellent observational skills to identify potential issues.
- Exceptional customer service skills to interact positively and professionally with team members and clients.
