JOB SUMMARY
Under limited supervision, responsible for the installation, availability, reliability, performance and maintenance of supported systems. Works with IT staff in training employees on IT equipment, applications and procedures. Responds to emergency IT situations during off-hours as required. This includes day-to-day management, operational support, upgrade and implementations, and long-term planning for systems including but not limited to Microsoft Windows Server platforms, and related software applications. Coordinates maintenance and ensures the proper operation of core systems and applications. Provides Tier 2 support to the organization.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Duties include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for remote monitoring and management (RMM) environment.
- Responsible for Windows platforms, including but not limited to Windows Servers, Windows Domain Services, etc.
- Coordinating administration using Windows Active Directory to include group policies, replication, troubleshooting and upgrades.
- Responsible for configuration and day-to-day operations of Enterprise printing environment, including maintenance to keep environment current and secure.
- Responsible for desktop experience, including image deployment, user state migration tools, software advertisements, and application metering.
- Performs maintenance activities as needed to keep environments up-to-date with urgent patches, releases, etc. as well as remaining secure.
- Develops procedures, forms, exhibits and hardware/software documentation.
- Responsible for Office365 ecosystem/platform.
- Assists Director of IT with Server Lifecycle Plan.
- Evaluates hardware and software to meet user requirements; makes written and verbal recommendations for user or management review.
- Monitors related systems and applications to ensure performance is in optimal working order at all times.
- Analyzes, reviews, and alters computer systems to maintain and increase operating efficiency and system resources, minimize support and maintenance or adapt to new requirements.
- Trains users on software, hardware, and operating systems; utilizing appropriate training material or arranges training with training coordinator.
- Identifies equipment specifications and orders IT equipment in accordance with budget set by Director of IT.
- Assists Director of IT with the IT Continuity Plan. This plan includes identification of critical business functions supported by core applications and hardware with associated recovery time objectives, mitigation strategies, and resource requirements to ensure IT operational continuity. The plan addresses cybersecurity and documentation of disaster recovery procedures for IT datacenters and communications.
- Provides Tier2 support to the organization.
- Performs root cause analysis and develops checklists for typical problems.
- Documents internal policies and/or develops training material for end-users.
- Keeps abreast of new developments in field; includes self-study and company provided training.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure effective operation of department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelor's degree in information technology systems, computer science, or a related field and experience in information technology systems or a related area. Relevant experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis. Must possess and maintain a valid SC driver's license.
