Responsibilities:
- Consults with management to analyze computer system needs for management information and functional operations, to determine scope and priorities of projects, and to discuss system capacity and equipment acquisitions.
- Recommends and develops plans for systems development and operations, hardware and software purchases, budget, and staffing.
- Tracks and manages IT related assets inventory.
- Manages the development, implementation, installation, and operation of information and functional systems for the organization.
- Develops, implements, and monitors management information systems policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, and legal and regulatory compliance.
- Manages computer operation scheduling, backup, storage, and retrieval functions.
- Engineers server solutions to meet organizational needs and SaaS requirements.
- Deploys, configures, maintains and administers new and existing servers, databases, storage and backups.
- Configures and deploys equipment/software.
- Troubleshoots network usage and computer peripherals.
- Resolves network communication problems independently and partnering with 3rd party providers when issues occur.
- Supports infrastructure including managing SonicWall and 3rd Party firewalls.
- Provides support to end users in the selection, procurement, usage, and maintenance of software programs and hardware.
- Installs and maintains PC and Apple hardware and software for internal employees.
- Performs system backups and data recovery, daily system monitoring verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources and integrity checks, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs
- Tests and applies OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary.
- Manages and performs all required updates on OS and applications.
- Reviews reports of computer and peripheral equipment production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine costs and impact, and address problems.
- Performs periodic performance and capacity tests, prepare reporting on results and submit results to management.
- Creates, changes and removes AD users, mailboxes and other resources as requested.
- Provides support per request from various constituencies including after-hours support.
- Maintains server and application inventory and manage corresponding licenses.
- Reviews and manages IT Ticketing platform.
- Develops, maintains, and tests data security and disaster recovery plans.
- Explores new technologies for future planning and potential implementation.
- Interfaces with industry on information management and information technology matters.
- Serves as primary corporate spokesperson for information management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 5 to 7 years of industry experience in systems programming and Network Management.
- Minimum 2 years' experience with PC and Apple OS, software and hardware troubleshooting and repair.
- Ability to think and act independently to resolve issues, understand and act quickly when issue escalation is required.
- Adaptable to change in process or required activities.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Strong written, oral, and analytical skills.
- Demonstrate organizational and project management skills.
- Collaborate with teammates to identify process improvements.
- Knowledge of server platforms such as: Windows Server 2010.
- Knowledge of database management including: SQL Server 2012, SQL Server 2014.
- Knowledge of Active Directory including: Group Policy, Domain Trusts, DNS, User and Group Management.
- Knowledge of system administration including: MS Exchange 2010, SharePoint, Skype for Business.
- Knowledge of network administration including SonicWall firewalls, routing and switching.
- Knowledge of virtualization technology and setting up/maintaining virtualized environments with multiple VM's.
- Ability to administer and deploy new systems as organizational needs required.
