Position Summary
The position will work within the Human Resources Domain and will play a key role in understanding and translating business needs into business-language user to support a new initiative that will be looking at the Learning Ecosystem across J&J to drive a Enterprise Learning & Development Strategy and Roadmap. Heavy emphasis will be working closely with the Business Process Owners (BPO).
A large part of the role will be to work closely with Business Partners, Vendors, Technical Services, and Product Analyst. Work will involve in refining the user requirements / user stories and delivering solution of selected Learning Technology stack to enable the J&J Learning Journeys.
Key Responsibilities
- Defines the market and business product driven strategy
- Improves return on investment by identifying and prioritizing the product features by business value (building the right thing)
- Define the product vision and roadmap including new features and enhancements
- In the absence of Product Analyst, fulfill the product role within the squad by leading the product backlog and writing user stories, with autonomy to prioritize issues based on perceived user value, metrics and release planning.
- Communicates the vision of the product to developers and testers
- Partner with business product owner to see what features are configured/built and which are backlogged based on capacity
- Accountable for the development work getting done accurately
- Incorporates user feedback and insights into the next build iteration
- Reports back to the business on status on the delivery of features, functionality, and applications
- Review and approve changes to applications as part of Governance process
- Has global accountability
- Drives adoption of the product and use thereof across sectors with Business Product Owner, Product Analyst, and Platform Tech Lead
- Handles the total cost of product development, ownership and user-unit cost
- Manages the spend on vendors and services provided by other groups within J&J
- Closely works with Vendors/Product Line leads to report the performance of applications
- Manage the product use throughout all the stages of the product lifecycle
- Define product catalog linked to user needs and business value
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree
- At least 8 years of information technology experience required (preferably in learning or related field).
- Strong IT background with a consistent record of delivering results, validated leadership, influencing skills, interdependent partnering skills, communication as well as critical thinking skills, creative and flexible problem solver, and process focus.
- A bility to align complex architecture to business strategies and initiatives including heavy emphasis on integrated solutions.
- Experience in leading integrated solutions between cross functional systems and with third party vendor systems
- Agile development experience, SDLC methodology, Risk management including Security.
- Ability to assist with estimate effort for project objectives and prioritize work items appropriately
- Ability to succeed in a global environment and influence adoption of new thinking
- Experience in effectively collaborating cross-functionally while handling partner expectations without formal authority
- Knowledge of JIRA/Kanban or related technology
- Proven ability to exercise good judgment in high pressure, critical situations and attention to detail required
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact strategically and confidently with internal partners to develop ideas, find opportunities, and influence outcomes
- Consistent track record of delivering projects with bold timelines and sprints; can drive solutions quickly and efficiently with high value
- Strong experience crafting technical solutions for business problems; understands both business processes and technical solutions
- Previous experience delivering Enterprise projects
Preferred:
- Strong API Integration Framework experience
- Comprehensive experience and understanding in Learning/Talent Development technologies and processes
- Comprehensive experience in state-of-the-art learning tools and technologies such as LXP, LRS, LCMS, LMS, Program delivery, Knowledge reinforcement etc.
- Working knowledge of Cornerstone On Demand(LMS) and EdCast Learning Experience Platform (LXP)
- Process understanding in Human Resources domain
- Experience with data and analytics; large scale enterprise data and reporting solutions (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik)
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $90,000- $144,900.
