POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The IT Support Technician is responsible for monitoring all data processing equipment and maintaining all user units, including the installation and maintenance of computer hardware and software and providing general tech support.
The incumbent is expected to communicate professionally with peers, supervisors, subordinates, vendors, customers, and the public, and to be respectful and courteous in the conduct of this position.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Essential job functions include the following. Other functions may be assigned as business conditions change.
• 60% of the time performs tech support (troubleshoots and answers employee technical questions/ answers help desk calls)
• Help Desk Track-It software
• Desktop configuration and Maintenance
• Comfortable working with hardware components according to industry standards
• Other IT related functions
NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Performs software and operating system tests
2. Performs related or other assigned duties as required or directed
3. Ability to learn scripting languages

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Minimum Education: Associates Degree in Electronics or College Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field in the absence of equivalent work experience.
Certification(s) Required: None.
Minimum Experience: Two years experience in a job involving system support preferred.
Other Qualifications: ▪ Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, DOS, Windows 95, Windows NT, Windows XP, Windows 7, Linux, Adobe Acrobat, Outlook and any other programs necessary for user support.
▪ Mathematical skills.

▪ High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
