IT Technician

This is a contract opportunity.

This is an on-site opportunity Secaucus, NJ.

 

About this position

This hands-on, on-site role will focus on the installation, coordination, and troubleshooting of equipment within the data center, including racking, cabling, and provisioning. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations using a ticketing system to track work and manage inventory. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and be critical to maintaining organized and efficient data center operations.

 

Job Responsibilities

• Use a ticketing system to monitor, track, and resolve work tasks.
• Install, coordinate, and troubleshoot data center equipment (racking servers, networking hardware, etc.).
• Perform cable racking, patching, and ensure proper connectivity across equipment.
• Manage equipment provisioning and decommissioning as required.
• Organize and maintain up-to-date inventory records for all data center assets.
• Ensure compliance with operational best practices, including security, power, and cooling requirements.

 

Skills/Requirements

• Experience working in a data center or relevant technical environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with racking and cabling servers, network equipment, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with inventory management and documentation best practices.
• Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA) to manage workflows.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and in collaboration with teams.

Additional Information

• This is a 4-month contract.

Pay/Salary Range:

• Pay Range: $23/hour
