Job Summary
As an IT Trainer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and delivering engaging and comprehensive training/learning programs to enhance and ensure Westat (Corporate) employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to use our tools and technology effectively.
This opportunity is a hybrid work arrangement (4 days on-site).
Job Responsibilities
• Create and update training programs and materials for corporate technology and applications, including user guides, presentations, and video content
Tailor training sessions to meet the organization's specific needs.
• Deliver engaging, effective, and innovative training sessions for employees at all levels, including corporate leaders
Focus on technology, software applications, cybersecurity protocols, and best practices using a variety of methods such as classroom, blended, virtual, and one-on-one formats.
• Collaborate with department heads to assess technology training needs, identify skill gaps, and develop customized training plans that align with corporate objectives.
• Continuously improve training content, ServiceNow knowledge management and articles, and methods based on participant feedback and technological advancements.
• Provide continuous technical support and guidance to employees, assisting them in applying new skills and resolving IT-related issues
This includes support during onboarding and providing white-glove assistance as needed.
• Partner with the Information Technology department and other stakeholders to ensure training programs support the organization's objectives and enhance overall productivity.
• Stay updated on the latest developments in IT and training methodologies to ensure training content remains current and relevant.
Basic Qualifications
• Typically requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3 to 5 years of experience as a corporate IT Trainer or in a similar role, with a solid understanding of corporate technology systems, software applications, and cybersecurity practices
• Experience in corporate IT tools and technologies, including enterprise software, operating systems, and network security
Examples include MS O365, Box, Envoy, ServiceNow, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
• Proven customer service, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess training needs and effectiveness.
• Ability to adapt training methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles and levels of technical expertise
• Proven organizational and project management skills to effectively plan, execute, and manage multiple training programs simultaneously.
