Job SummaryPerforms advanced (senior-level) computer systems analysis work. The Operations Manager serves as the divisions technical lead; the Data Center Services (DCS) Coordinator; the agency Change Management Coordinator; and ITS Technology Project Manager for internal agency projects. The Ops Manager leads the technical staff in planning, coordinating, and implementing daily operations and coordinates the teams activities with the technical staff at the consolidated data center; communicates with agency staff, vendors, DIR, and other state agencies as required to carry out ITS technical operations; makes recommendations to the ITS director related to technology strategy and budget and functions as backup to the division director. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Essential Tasks Coordinates with the State Data Center for the agencys required Data Center Services (DCS). Supervises the IT Operations Services Team. Oversees and assigns ITS operation tasks. Serves as the technical resource for the agencys Information Security Officer (ISO). Provides technical expertise and support for the evaluation, acquisition, and post-implementation support of agency information resources. Serves as the agencys Change Management Coordinator. Performs other duties as assigned. Attends work regularly in accordance with agency leave and attendance policies. Complies with all applicable agency policies and procedures including safety and standards of conduct.

Qualifications: Veterans, Reservist or Guardsmen with an MOS or additional duties that fall in the fields of Army25B, 255A, 255S, 53A, CT, IT, 181X, Navy182X, 642X, 644X, 742X, 744X, 275, 26, 030, C4I11, Coast Guard ISM, 0171, 8848, 8858, AirForce3D0X2, or 3D0X4pertaining to the minimum experience requirements may meet the minimum qualifications for this position and are highly encouraged to apply. Minimum QualificationsFour-year degree from an accredited university; paid work experience in a lead technical capacity performing computer technology tasks may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis, up to four years. Five years experience working in a technical team environment to maintain information technology services.Two years experience working in a position which requires effective communication with technical and non-technical staff and management from within the organization and the organizations business partners.Three years experience performing systems analyst tasks in support of IT projects.Five years experience supporting Windows Operating Systems in a networked environment.Five years experience installing, upgrading, and maintaining hardware on Windows servers.Two years experience supervising and directing the work of other IT professionals.
Preferred QualificationsDegree from accredited f ur-year college with major coursework in Information Technology, IT risk assessment, project management, and/or systems analysis.Experience diagnosing network failures and restoring network services.Experience as an IT project manager. Experience providing technical expertise and/or systems analysis for enterprise projects in an IT environment.Experience supporting Windows 365 in a network environment, Windows systems administration, and/or Windows desktop support.Experience supporting and administering Linux desktops and/or servers.

Environmental/Physical ConditionsNormal office work environment and may have exposure to dust and environmental allergens consistent with normal business activities and human contact. Mostly sedentary in nature but may involve occasionally moving; standing; pulling and pushing, kneeling, stooping and bending; performing tasks requiring fine motor skill and coordination to safely move items weighing up to 40 pounds. Must have visual acuity and manual dexterity to operate a computer and regular office equipment. Requires the ability to occasionally ascend/descend ladders and to reach above shoulder level to access equipment. Must be able to work extended periods at a computer which includes repeated motions that include the writs, hands and or fingers. May require working extended hours and some evenings and weekends as needed. Normal cognitive abilities including the ability to learn, recall and apply certain practices and policies and interpret data. Travel, some overnight, may be required.
