We are seeking a dedicated Janitor to join our team and help uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance at our program site.

About the Role: As a Janitor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the overall cleanliness, order, and safety of our facilities. This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact and contribute to the success of our organization.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8AM - 4PM (Full-Time)

Salary: $20.25/HR

Location: Mount Prospect, IL

Responsibilities:

• Support the Mission Statement and agency values of Search.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of assigned work sites according to Search standards.
• Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy when interacting with colleagues, community members, and affiliated agencies.
• Ensure all equipment is well-maintained and monitor supplies necessary for maintaining the physical plant environment.
• Adhere to established safety procedures for handling equipment and hazardous materials.
• Complete assigned tasks efficiently and effectively in the absence of direct supervision.
• Regularly communicate with supervisor regarding task status, material supplies, and site needs.
• Ensure compliance with personnel policies and corporate compliance regulations.
• Participate in training sessions and meetings as required.
• Provide flexibility in schedule to respond to emergencies, including snow removal and other weather-related events.
• Complete required reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Experience in various areas of maintenance/janitorial.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 75 lbs.
• Proficiency in performing basic physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, kneeling, reaching, crouching, bending, and twisting.
• First Aid certification.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
