Janitor - Millerbernd Manufacturing Co.

NOW HIRING: We are hiring a 1st shift Janitor to join our Ring & Cylinder (R&C) team. The Janitor is responsible for maintaining production areas and keeping them presentable. Will perform heavy cleaning duties, such as washing floors, walls, & glass and removing rubbish. Your d uties may also include notifying management of needed repairs and cleaning snow or debris from the sidewalks.


This is an onsite role based in Winsted, MN.


As a Janitor, you will:



+ Gather and empty trash into specified dumpsters


+ Gather and empty hazardous waste into specified dumpsters


+ Dump scrap steel tilt hoppers in specific dumpsters


+ Contact Steel and Trash vendors when containers are full


+ Service, clean, and supply restrooms, lunchroom, and office


+ Drive vehicles required to perform tasks including industrial trucks


+ Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties


+ Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings


+ Spray insecticides and fumigants as needed


+ Report facility concerns to Facilities Manager


+ Report maintenance concerns to Maintenance Manager


+ Perform routine maintenance activities as requested



Role Qualifications as a Janitor:



+ Able to possess an industrial truck license


+ Proven organizational and housekeeping skills


+ Proven communication skills in English


+ Able to identify potential safety hazards and take steps to mitigate hazards


+ Work well with production employees
