The Janitorial Supervisor is responsible for all daily operations of their assigned contracts at multiple customer locations within the assigned geographic location. It is critical to know and understand contract requirements for all contract sites assigned, including Relay policies, procedures, work rules, collective bargaining agreements and safety regulations. Driving is an essential function of the role. Success in this role requires attendance at property sites during normal business hours and a flexible schedule when needed for support.
What you will do
- Oversee daily janitorial responsibilities of employees at each worksite
- Provide training, mentoring, coaching and accommodation support along with support services teams to ensure employees have what they need to be successful
- Resolve work site conflicts in coordination with management and employee relations as needed
- Support employees in areas of compensation, payroll, benefits and safety to ensure they are connected to the right internal resources
- Respond in a timely and professional manner to all customer concerns
- Maintain positive relationships with customers, employees and union representatives
- Assist employee support and success team to ensure Relay meets state and federal disability ratios for compliance
- Maintain supply levels and ensure equipment functions at each site
- Ensure an active safety program is functioning at each worksite
- Conduct site inspections to ensure quality standards are met

- You have 5 years of education, janitorial operations experience, or supervisory experience
- You have experience in a clinical or health cleaning industry (preferred)
- You enjoying working with a diverse population; your experience includes people with disabilities
- You have excellent customer experience and problem-solving skills
- You have had to follow contract language in the past for job performance
- You are able to perform occasional janitorial tasks that include ambulating, bending, lifting and carrying items up to 50 lbs.
- You have a lot of experience using Microsoft 365 Office Suite (email, Teams, excel, Word)
- You can pass a criminal background check to obtain Federal Security clearances
- You have a valid driver's license, safe driving record, insurance and a reliable form of transportation
