Junior Buyer - LaborMAX Staffing

Junior Buyer Responsibilities: Procure products, materials, services, supplies, commodities, tooling or sub-tier manufactured parts relevant to FMI business. Work closely with technical staff and program management to make procurement decisions. Explore cost reduction and delivery improvement opportunities. Participate and execute to purchasing related projects. Procurement? Prepare and deliver to supplier Purchase Orders based on buy signals such as Purchase Requisitions, Min Max inventory, etc.? Maintain follow-up responsibility to ensure commitment dates are held for open orders.? Maintain accurate documentation and records, confirm commitments to areas supported, notify areas supported of change of status in a timely manner? Work with Receiving, Quality, Engineering and Accounting to resolve discrepancies and issues.? Comply with applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations, Company policy and accepted safe work practices Supplier Relationship? Coordinate activities concerning suppliers by serving as liaison with other internal departments. Others? Support purchasing related projects.? Perform additional related duties as assigned High School Diploma or equivalent required? 1-2 years experience? Ability to work in team environment? Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of Microsoft Office? Previous ERP System experience preferred.? Ability to write routine reports and business correspondence.? Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.? Ability to perform basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and percentages.? Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.?
