We've grown nearly 100 years old now, and command a premiere position among Japanese foodservice suppliers, as well as fill a key role as "Culinary Ambassador" promoting Japanese foods worldwide. Currently, we import, manufacture, and distribute over 7,000 Japanese foods, beverages, restaurant equipment, and supplies.

Work Hour: M-F: 8 AM – 5 PM, 1 hour lunch break, OT may apply

Essential Job Functions:
Inside Sales Duty (40%)
- Inputs, updates, and maintains sales orders, invoices, and bill-back data within the Company database.
- Monitors inventory and ensures the ordered items are in stock.
- Updates and maintains customer records in the Company database.
- Updates and maintains customer ABC license records at every order input.
- Collects payment by cash, check, or credit card and generates receipts for will-call customers, and deposits to the Company’s bank account in a timely manner.
- Enters credit card and ACH transaction information in the portal site on time to ensure payment collection.
- Maintains high levels of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service and building rapport.
- Answers customer questions about products, procedures, and payments.
- Troubleshoots delivery problems.
- Updates and prepares all sales materials.
- Reports any inventory or service issues to the appropriate account manager immediately.
- Collaborates with the sales staff to monitor active purchase orders and ensure that orders are completed on time.
- Scribes meetings and distributes meeting minutes to the team.
- Creates sales and marketing materials.
- Attends Company events and functions outside of normal working hours.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Obligation to answer to all management as requested
PPM Duty (30%)
- Communicate with the customers and issue PO based on the customer’s needs.
- Communicate with the makers and the vendors to coordinate product shipment.
- Prepares and maintains shipping documents related to exports, including tracking shipments, and inventory management.
- Communicates with customers and freight forwarders to resolve any issues and ensure the timely delivery of products.
- Collects payments from the customers.
- Maintains high levels of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service and building rapport.
Sushi School Duty (30%)
- Drives company vehicles to the local market to purchase food materials on a daily basis.
- Rides students to the local fish markets or other places as needed.
- Use QuickBooks to perform simple bookkeeping, A/R, A/P, and daily journals.
- Maintains and updates the Sushi school website such as uploading new photos, posting job openings, and school information.
- Answers questions from current and prospective students about class information, such as class curriculum, course schedule, tuition fees, payment method, and… etc.
- Supports Sushi school instructors to handle students’ inquiries and resolve issues.
- Coordinates with local restaurants or hotels for their requests regarding the recruitment of Sushi school students.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit in an office for the majority of the day
- Ability to type for extended periods throughout the day
- Ability to reach, bend, kneel, and lift to 25 pounds occasionally

Other Requirements:
- Business level English – Read/write/speak/listen
- Business level Japanese; Native level Japanese preferred – Read/write/speak/listen
- Maintains a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Ability to adapt to frequent changes in assignments and workload
- High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree and above preferred
- 2+ years of relevant experience preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
- Clerical/Administrative Support
- Basic mathematical knowledge – markups, discounts, combining/converting measurements, counting inventory, etc.
- Problem-solving skills
- Basic Microsoft Office proficiency
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Japanese foods and sakes is strongly preferred
