Job description

Designs, develops, and implements web-based Java applications to support business requirements.
Follows approved life cycle methodologies, creates design documents, and performs program coding and testing.
Resolves technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.

Requirements

Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
BS or Masters in Computer Science or equivalent
2-4 years in architecting large and business critical systems
6 - 8 years of experience in developing, deploying and administering Java/J2EE-based applications
6 - 8 years of GUI/web development experience using Java/J2EE/JSP/Servlet technologies.
6 - 8 years of GUI/web development experience using Web 2.0/AJAX frameworks like JQuery, YUI etc.
6 - 8 years of GUI/web development experience using MVC frameworks like Struts or Spring MVC.
3 - 6 years of experience in SOA/Web Services (SOAP, RESTFul using XML and JSON)
3 - 5 years of strong experience with XML, XSLT, XSD, SAX/DOM, JAXB
2 - 4 Years of experience in developing applications using RDBMS, SQL and Oracle PL/SQL
In depth knowledge of Unix environment that includes 4-7 years of experience in shell scripting
Familiarity with application servers Weblogic and/or JBoss for deployments and administration
Familiarity with Apache HTTP/Web Server
