Java Developer at AKKODIS

Akkodis is seeking a Java Developer for a Contract job with a client in Jersey, City NJ/Chicago, IL (Hybrid). You will collaborate with multiple stakeholders, providing technical direction and ensuring high-quality software delivery.

 

Rate Range: $58/hour to $68/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

 

Java Developer job responsibilities include:

• Developing, enhancing, and debugging software applications that support business functions, utilizing Java technologies such as Java 8/11, JAX-RS (REST), and Java EE.

• Collaborating with business partners to gather requirements, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet user needs.

• Designing and implementing complex applications using frameworks like Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Hibernate, while ensuring the scalability and performance of the system.

• Writing and executing unit tests with tools like JUnit, Mockito, and Cucumber to ensure the reliability and stability of applications.

• Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to application development and providing ongoing support.

• Engaging in continuous improvement of coding practices and development methodologies, contributing to the team's agile process.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives.

 

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in Java development, with strong expertise in Java 8/11, Spring Boot, and related technologies.

• Proficiency in Oracle SQL/PLSQL and experience working with databases.

• Familiarity with modern development tools and frameworks such as Hibernate, Kafka, and Elasticsearch.

Pay Details: $58.00 to $68.00 per hour
