Major Responsibilities
- Analysis of current and new system components
- Designs, develops, enhances, debugs, and implements interactive software.
- Researches, tests, builds, and coordinates the conversion and/or integration of software based on requirements.
- Coding, testing and production implementation.
- Highly analytical, possessing critical and creative thinking skills.
- Consults with project teams and end users to identify application requirements.
- Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
- Web Application development and deployment
- Integration activities (application setups, configurations, coordination with other teams)
- Ensuring system design adheres to technical standards
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of an integrated team.
- Strong interpersonal skills to maintain effective working relationships with team members
- Support/maintenance/monitoring of existing DEV, QA, UAT and Production environments
- Can work independently on a given task if required.
- Defines and maintains IT development standards and best practices
Required Skills/Experience - 6-8 yrs experience with Java/J2EE technologies including Core Java, JMS, Servlets, etc.
- J2EE EJB on WebLogic
- JDBC, SQL, Stored procedures, Oracle PL/SQL, MySQL
- Expert level Spring Framework & Spring Integration
- Java JPA and/or Hibernate
- JUnit, Test Driven Development (TDD)
- Web Services & XML technologies, i.e. SOAP, JAXB, WSDL, XML BEANS
- Design Patterns
- SCM via Subversion, ANT, MAVEN
- Agile/SCRUM experience
Education & Experience - Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience.
