- 3-5 year java developer needed to build out a database and data capture process
-reporting to Front Office Dev
Java is a must. Willing to learn and do some development in the report writing system - QuikView .Net knowledge is welcome but not essential. Ideally 3-5 years experience with Java server side Knowledge of web application development is a plus. You will own, manage and enhance an existing in-house developed Java platform.
The platform is being developed from a shared codebase.
This is an excellent opportunity for a keen and enthusiastic developer interested in working hands on in a fast paced commodities trading environment.
Qualifications
A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics is required.
Ideal candidates will have 3-5 years of experience as a Software or Front Office Java Developer.
Candidates must successfully pass a Java Developer test.
Required Skills
Strong communication skills.
Self motivated with an ability to efficiently manage time, priorities and to multitask to meet competing deadlines.
Required Experience
Proven working experience with Java, SQL and C#.
Experience with Qlikview is a plus.
Particular interest will be given to individuals familiar with commodity market experience.
Ideal candidates will come out of Financial Services or Software Development environments.
