Job Title: Java Developer with POS Experience
Location: Burlington, NJ
Position Type: Direct Hire or Contract-to-Hire
Work Status: Only US Citizen/Green Card/EAD

Rate: DOE (W2/1099 Only)
Rollover Salary: $90K - $100K
Responsibilities
Codes, tests, debugs, implements, and documents programs.
Assists in the modification of company products and/or customer/internal systems to meet the needs of the client and/or end-user.
Researches and analyzes existing systems and program requirements, under periodic supervision.
Writes technical specifications for programs of moderate complexity.
Assists in resolving production support problems. Develops and suggests alternative approaches to resolving problems.
Assists in developing test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs. Identifies issues as appropriate.
Can communicate and translate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience of business partners.
Can mentor and cross-train teammates on POS concepts to help grow the team
Participates in the implementation, development and maintenance of applications ranging from Oracle POS, Central Office, and Back Office, as well as supporting existing Java based applications
Position Requirements
Education: B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
Experience: 3-5 Years. Retail & POS experience a must

Position Requirements

Experience: 3-5 Years. Retail & POS experience a must
Required Skills and Abilities:
- 3-5 years of Java EE, JSF & HTML development in a store systems environment
- 3 years of EJB development
- 2+ years of JPA/Hibernate, EclipseLink or similar implementation
- 2+ years of Junit or a strong sense of test automation and unit testing skills
- 2+ years of working with WebLogic or JBoss or Tomcat
- 2+ years of Oracle SQL, Oracle PL/SQL
- Experience with object oriented development
- Experience building and maintaining applications having a large user base (POS has anywhere from 10,000 to 15,000 users daily)
