Responsibilities
- Codes software applications & adhere to designs supporting internal business requirements or external customers.
- Must have strong OO programming skills, strong communication skills and be a solid team player for a close knit Agile team
Required Skills/Experience - Hands on experience and understanding of modern Java development (REST Web Services and No SQL data store like Cassandra/MongoDB/Couchebase, etc.)
- Hands on experience with Ruby or Python.
- Experience with dependency injection framework (Spring/Guice), messaging technologies (MQ/JMS, SQS/SNS) and test driven development (JUnit/TestNG/mock frameworks)
- Comfortable with UNIX/OS x development environment
Nice to Have - Work exp with other Amazon services like swf, ec2, s3, etc.
- Work exp with indexing frameworks like elastic search or Solr
