The Job Site Superintendent will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful completion of our remodeling projects. This position will involve both on-site and office responsibilities, offering a unique opportunity to gain comprehensive experience in project management. Initially, the role will focus on office and estimating duties, transitioning to a hands-on field management role. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and overseeing remodeling projects from inception to completion.
- Perform carpentry work as needed.
- Manage and oversee a team of carpenters, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and team members to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
- Perform site visits to monitor progress and quality of work.
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, schedules, and reports.
- Help in the procurement of materials and equipment needed for projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Address and resolve any issues or delays that arise during the project.
- Support manager in daily tasks and project administration.
- Perform office tasks, including estimating and preparing project proposals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or related field preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in construction or project management.
- Extensive knowledge of all trades, carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Basic knowledge of construction methods and building codes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Must have a strong work ethic and take pride in all work
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
